Fiona Maria Simon was born and raised in New Mexico, where her father worked as a solar physicist and her mother was an artist and yoga instructor. Fiona’s love of cooking and experimenting with recipes was no happenstance, as she comes from a long line of creative cooks. Her grandmother Marianne was a nutritionist and professional chef. Fiona’s great aunt Leni was known in the Boston area for her delectable pastries and gourmet meals. Leni’s dream was to have a café called Rendevous, where friends and family would come together to share mouth-watering treats. It is in this spirit of offering nutritious, gourmet delights that Fiona's Natural Foods was born.

Fiona’s own health problems sparked an interest to study nutrition. The wholesome ingredients she uses in her granola were chosen not only for their wonderful flavor combinations, but also for particular health benefits. She firmly believes that eating a healthy diet can combat an array of health deficiencies.

Fiona resides in Boulder, Colorado with her daughter Natalie and their dog Jouey.
